Overview – Field Technician positions in our install department.

Install technicians are expected to operate independent or in teams installing low-voltage systems including but not limited to Telephone Systems, Cameras, DVR’s, Intercom/Paging, and Access Control Systems.

Potential employees must be able to pass drug screen, criminal background check, and have a valid driver’s license. Potential employees must be able to work in Hospital, Educational & Military environments.

Pay rate is based on skill and technical training level. All employees are given a smart phone and a benefit package including health, dental, and 401K. Once employees can operate independently a company take-home truck will be supplied.

Skills we are looking for include but not limited to:

  • Pulling and installing low voltage cabling
  • Terminating RJ-45, BNC & F-fittings
  • Basic understanding of AC/DC circuits
  • Basic mechanical skills able to use power tools safely
  • Basic troubleshooting skills
  • Basic understanding of networking
  • Ability to operate a computer and navigate software.
  • Pays Attention to detail while working

Candidate would be responsible for installation of Key and VoIP telephone systems, switches, routers, Wi-Fi, data cabling, patch panels, racks, etc. BCS represents CISCO, HP, LG-Ericsson, Polycom, and other leading brands.

Responsibilities include:

  • Daily Service Calls
  • Identify root-cause of service issues
  • Installation of projects from start to finish
  • Troubleshooting issues
  • Follow-up with customers to assure quality of service and overall levels of satifaction
  • Educate

Qualified candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • Experience with networking and or electronics
  • Communication skills and experience in dealing with customers, vendors, and other technicians
  • Self-motivated, goal setter, ability to perform without constant supervision
  • Analytical thinker – Persistent problem solver
  • Demonstrates a positive “whatever it takes” attitude
  • Organized and detail oriented; can prioritize, multi-task, and make quick decisions
  • Enjoys being part of a small team in a fast-paced, challenging environment
  • Networking certifications a real plus
